The best way to get your #team shipping content at scale is to promote #dictatorship. Not team playing NEVER.Meaning: - Graphics designer to have final say on the design - Copywriter to have final say on the copy - Social media manager to post content even if not approved. Even better, remove the approvers. You hired competent people right? Now get out of the way....One endemic problem I see in every big company is content teams hampered by a hierarchy of approvals. People dimly informed about the expertise at hand having majority say."Make it pop", vague feedback. "I don't like it", vague feedback. "Make it better", vague feedback. In #Swahili, we have two wisdoms:1. Miluzi mingi humpoteza mbwa2. Wapishi wengi huharibu mchuziI will not translate.... #chokablok

    - Year: August, 2022- Role: Creative Direction / Content- Client: Chaklikala (Ganesha idols)- Brief: Not just sell, but the client wanted to educate people that their Ganesha idols are handmade, eco-friendly and people could grow plants out of them.- Limitations: None. absolutely, none.- Idea:The language had to be Gujarati, to suit the target audience. First came the tagline.Visarjan ma thi Sarjan - which means- Creation from Immersion. The follow-up idea was to go for a documentary styled set-up. Shoot the interview first, ask the client to explain the process from start to end, along with features and specifications. Shoot apt B-rolls. Create the complete video on the edit table.Of course, Vivek took it to the next level.- Outcome: 🙂- Shot and edited by:VIVEK SANKHWAL#creativedirection #Creativestrategist #advertising #shortads #Gujarati #reels #reeladshttps://lnkd.in/eJsG3Ehe

"How to repurpose other's content?"Let's take this dialogue exchange from the Tamil crime thriller movie "Por Thozhil"Senior Cop: What did you get from the crime report?"Young Cop: (Proceeds to provide every numerical and theoretical data from the report)Senior Cop: I didn't ask you what was written in the report. I asked what you understood from it. Young Cop: (Confused.)The Senior Cop then proceeds to take every detail from the report and gives a detailed breakdown of the criminal's physique, behavior, and psyche.Like the senior cop, as content writers, we must be able to get a solid understanding of what the other creator has posted.Use the core idea in the content and add your own spin to it to make it your own.Without that understanding of the core idea, you will either be copy pasting content or staring at a blank page.P.S This post in itself is a repurposing of my previous content with a different storyHere is the link to it : https://lnkd.in/gGCNtkbNWhat tips do you follow to repurpose content? Everything you need to know about copywriting is in Quran and Islamic teachings. It has all the elements you need to master as a copywriter. I created a video about this a year ago... and here are 3 elements (and a bonus) you can learn from Islam and become an exceptional copywriter.✅ Storytelling As humans, we're driven to stories. And Quran has 2 types of stories: 1- Dialogue based (eg: Hazrat Musa in Pharo's court) 2- Live depiction (Moses splitting the sea through Divine intervention)You can use these two types in copywriting. ✅Specificity and build-up to the main pointThe writings in Quran are to the point and specific. Allah says: "By the winds that scatter dust. And the clouds that bear the heavy weight of water. And the ships that float with ease and gentleness. And those angles administering affairs by Allah's command. Indeed, what you're promised is true. And verily the recompense is sure to happen."See how beautifully the entire message links? I'm simply in awe after reading this again. So specific it talks about clouds, and the way ships move and then links it with how things will unfold. ✅ Perfect use of brevity Most copywriters write verbose and wordy copy. If you look at Quran, it communicates in the right way with the use of right words. Allah says:"When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake. And the earth discharges its burdens. And man says, “What is [wrong] with it?”That Day, it will report its news"In four sentences, it depicts the picture of the day of judgment. Only 4 sentences. Such eloquence. Allah. ✅ BONUS TIP: Attracting attention by calling out the readersQuran has 143 instances where Allah calls upon specific groups."O you who have believed""O human kind"Our holy prophet Muhammad (SAW) used questions to grab attention.(Like we do now in copy)Example: If I were to tell you that there was an army behind thismountain ready to attack you, would you believe me?” Write while keeping our religion in mind and you'll reap awesome rewards. Both in this world and the hereafter. It's a win-win situation.
