Bring back the beloved Chick-fil-A coleslaw recipe! Oh Yes! Coleslaw aficionados were a bit askew when Chick-fil-A announced their classic Chick-fil-A coleslaw would be removed from the menu. Seventy One years old the classic coleslaw has graced the Chick-fil-A menu only to be discontinued. The Chick-fil-A coleslaw dressing is of course the key to the success of replicating the still missed Chick-fil-A coleslaw.

I always think of coleslaw recipes like Thanksgiving stuffing recipes. Every family has their own unique recipe.

Sometimes you take a walk on the wildside and make a different version, but there are always family members who chant for the tried and true family recipe. So you make two or even three versions; the traditional, the new one on the menu and the I’m going to try a new one!

Coleslaw is the same way. A million different ways to enjoy this low cal and classic side dish. I’m fairly flexible with my coleslaw tastes with the exception that it must have mayo.

But I love to try different versions and compare the taste tests to the family favorite and who knows one might find an addition to the family favorites.

Enjoy this is a quick and easy version of the classic Chick-fil-A coleslaw.

No, it is not like your family’s’ recipe unless your last name is Chick-fil-A, but very yummy and sure to please the guests.

How to Make Copycat Chick-fil-A Coleslaw Recipe

Makes 6-8 servings

Ingredients:

  • 2 bags (14 oz each) shredded cole slaw mix, brand of your choice
  • 1 cup mayonnaise, brand of your choice
  • 4 tsp white vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt

Chick Fil A Coleslaw Dressing Recipe

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the mayo, vinegar, sugar, dry mustard, and salt until smooth.
  2. Once sauce is fully mixed add in shredded cole slaw mix and fold mixture over with a spatula until fully coated.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours.
  4. Chilling overnight is preferred to let the ingredients meld.

Will Chick-fil-A bring back its’ beloved coleslaw?

The good news is that Chick-Fil-A released the beloved coleslaw recipe after a 46 year run so you can make the coleslaw in the comfort of your own kitchen. The not so good news is that coleslaw will not be available on the Chick-Fil-A menu as a side dish for its’ entrees.
